New MG Roadster Video Is Eye Candy
MG has put out a sneak peak video surrounding their proposed roadster. It’s being dubbed a Mazda Miata replacement which is smart “copycat” marketing. Gizmodo Australia has the details.
MY TAKE-MG is clearly teasing the market, but it’s getting lots of positive sentiment and commentary. The car is something to look at, as more and more design is becoming more important to buyers of EVs. Many are tired of the TESLA look and want more. They also don’t want to be seen as just different for driving an EV, they want to make a fashion statement and drive something that has high curb appeal. By going after the Mazda crowd, MG is clearly saying, “if you like a car that’s fun to drive, and turns heads, but our roadster.” It’s smart marketing as the Miata has been a timeless “fun” car that also performs well.
Asleep At The Wheel
TechTimes has the news on a TESLA driver asleep at the wheel.
MY TAKE-This can’t continue. Full stop. Technology could be put into play that would drive the car to the side of the road, safely, turn off the motors, and gently wake up the driver. There’s no reason for this to ever happen again.
