My Take-Cities in California has long been at the forefront of game changing legislation. My old hometown of Solana Beach banned cigarette smoking on the beach first, and enacted similar legislation surrounding plastic food containers from being used in restaurants and supermarkets. This move is also really important as California has more than a few of the most densely populated areas in the USA along the coast, where air pollution is seen and smelled, knowing full well how harmful auto emissions are. By reducing the number of gas stations this also has a ring of protectionism, helping keep those in business while steering others towards the EV charging direction.

MY TAKE-Batteries are a hot topic. Companies in Silicon Valley love to talk about what they can do. Quantum Scape is hoping to be the battery provider for cars in the near future and has raised the money needed to get to the point of mass production. Now they have to prove they can deliver on those promises.

My Take-It’s good public relations and salesmanship to show off features like the WunderBox and talk about the benefits. Lucid is going one step farther though and using the WunderBox as a differentiator versus other cars in the price range of the Lucid Air.
